I was born white (Scottish/English heritage) on Whadjuk Noongar country and grew up in the hills near Perth, Western Australia. Later my parents moved to Nyungar/Murrum country near Manjimup and I spent time there.

I now live with my partner on Kaurna country near Adelaide.

I acknowledge that Aboriginal sovereignty has never been ceded in Australia. I respect  Aboriginal elders and the ongoing connection that Indigenous people have with their land. I am committed to learning more about our true history and the impact of colonisation, and to dismantling the systemic racism that still operates.
